Vera studied Fine Art in Münster in Germany and moved to Bristol 5 years ago. A fascination with natural processes and structures has led to an intuitive and experimental approach to painting. Materials are allowed to run, splash, stain, cover surfaces that are then scratched, scraped, carved into, sanded or polished. Eventually a work emerges - the result of a long and unpredictable (and in that sense perhaps natural?) process.
