Roses work is inspired by the world around her, especially that which is generally un-noticed or disregarded by others, seeing beauty in the seemingly ugly. Influences include insects and strange creatures, natural history, anatomy and sea life. She works mainly with mixed media, acrylic, ink, graphite and coloured pencil and aims to produce pieces that are intriguing, fresh and provocative.
- Selected for the 2010 Discerning Eye and Winner of the West country Regional Prize
- Exhibited work in numerous places including Bristol, Bath, Plymouth, Glasgow, London, Amsterdam, New York and Singapore
- Illustrations used for a variety of magazines and books, plus private commissions
