My work explores the human and animal form within the medium of painting and drawing. Currently I am working on large scale ink drawings that look deep under the skin, through the exterior be it fragile or tough, thick or thin. Unveiled is something primal, vulnerable and raw. Mountainous women, gigantic babies and dogs vast as lanscapes have emerged. These figures are exposed, bare all to the viewer, a hidden truth uncovered. A child or pet can appear small, fragile, even stupid but on closer inspection hold immense power and resistence, mightier than all.
